Mission

Design and programming

As part of our collaboration with the cabaret Galgenstricke, we were commissioned to develop a comprehensive redesign of their outdated website. For this project, we opted for the flexible Kirby content management system as the technical foundation, which enables both simple content maintenance and complex functionalities.

At the heart of the new digital presence is the interactive event calendar - an essential element for any cultural organization. This has been designed so that visitors can not only navigate conveniently through the program, but can also subscribe to the events as an iCal calendar link. This function allows users to integrate the program directly into their personal calendar and stay up to date at all times.

Building on an existing collaboration, we also seamlessly integrated the Pretix ticket system into the new website. This significantly optimizes the booking process and increases the conversion rate, as interested parties can purchase tickets directly and without media disruptions.

During development, we placed particular emphasis on search engine optimization. The new website was structured according to current SEO guidelines, enriched with relevant keywords and made easy to crawl for search engines. This leads to improved findability on the web and significantly increases the digital visibility of the cabaret.

The responsive design ensures that the website is optimally displayed on all end devices - a decisive factor, as more and more users are researching and booking cultural events on mobile devices. The technical implementation with modern web technologies also ensures short loading times, which both improves the user experience and has a positive impact on search engine rankings.

This digital transformation enabled the Galgenstricke cabaret to significantly modernize its online presence and meet the requirements of today's digital age. The project impressively demonstrates how cultural institutions can expand their reach and sustainably improve visitor experiences through strategic web development and SEO optimization.
